Memory Ark recently had a workshop conducted each at two outstanding primary schools, Marsiling Primary School and Zhong Hua Primary School.
With students from primary 2 to primary 5, it was amazing to see the difference between how the lower and upper primary absorb when it comes to learning.
Students were taught the basics of memory techniques, the linking and hooking method. Though there was a big age gap, all students were able to understand the presentation of themethods.
Imagination and creativity were encouraged. The lower primary students gave suggestions that were hilarious without boundaries while the upper primary students gave suggestions that were rigid and logical.
A test was given to apply all that they have learnt at the end of the session. Improvement can observed in all students and a few made were rather outstanding. The workshop ended with a demonstration of memory power by Gerald Lim.
